AgriSoft|CMC is an affiliate company of Agri Stats Inc., a privately-held statistical research and analysis firm serving agribusiness companies domestically and internationally. Founded in 1985 by James H. Cox, Agri Stats has become the unrivaled industry leader in reporting and benchmarking for the broiler, egg, turkey, swine, beef and dairy industries. Agri Stats also provides consultation on data analysis, action-planned development and management practices of participating companies, and includes among its customers industry giants like Tyson Foods, Louis Rich, Perdue, Jennie-O/The Turkey Store, Cargill and Smithfield.
Chilson's Management Control (CMC), long established as the premiere computer software solution vendor for the egg industry, makes up one-half of the powerhouse company that is now AgriSoft|CMC. Founded in 1973 by Dick Chilson, CMC began processing flock records in 1974, and began selling software and computers to egg producers in 1977. By 2004, CMC counted among its clients companies which cumulatively held more than 150 million layers at over 160 locations throughout the United States. CMC was acquired in 2005 by AgriSoft Solutions, enabling the company to better serve its existing Chilson's client base by providing valuable benchmarking information from Agri Stats. In addition the merge provided CMC's well-known high level of service to AgriSoft ERP and AgriSoft AIM clients, to better serve new clients in other poultry-related industries.
